Our Tackle Football program is for players in grades 3–8 who are ready for the next level. We offer a safe, structured environment where athletes learn fundamentals, build toughness, and develop as teammates and leaders — all while having fun.
Who Can Play?
- Grades: 3–8
- Teams are structured as 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8
- Players are placed in divisions based on grade and weight
- No prior experience is required — just a good attitude and willingness to learn
Safety First
- All coaches are trained in proper contact techniques
- Emphasis on safe tackling, conditioning, and equipment care
- Full pads are used only after a proper non-contact ramp-up period
What to Expect
- Season begins mid-August (first practice August 18)
- Preseason: 3 practices/week (Mon–Fri, Aug 18–29)
- In-season: 2–3 practices/week (usually Tue/Wed/Thu)
- Location: Highlands MS or White Plains HS
- Games: Weekends, starting mid-September
- Minimum of 3 home games, including a night game under the lights!
League Details
- We play in the Westchester United Football League
- Players must meet weight-based eligibility for ball-carrying positions
- Official league weigh-ins are held in early September
- Modified playoffs follow the regular season
Equipment
Each tackle player receives:
- Helmet (certified for the season)
- Shoulder pads
- Mouthguard
- Game pants
- Game jersey
Parents are responsible for:
- Rubber-soled cleats
- Protective cup
- Practice gear (shorts, t-shirt)
Game uniforms should only be worn during games. Replacement costs may apply for lost/damaged equipment.
